Un-greyhound-like

Riley has taken an interest in the hardwood floors. I am not sure why. The floor is cool, but she does not appear to be hot when she decides lie on it. I don't pretend to understand them anymore.

Is it the floor? Or is it the air conditioner vent there? Maybe she likes the breeze (whether she's hot or cold). Sam gets off the cushy sofa and lies in the middle of the living room floor...under the ceiling fan.

I see windows behind her (over the bed, also). Does the sun shine more through the middle window than the one over the bed? DeeDee will often "move with the sun," from her dog bed to several feet away, throughout the course of the afternoon. Perhaps if the sun often shines on the floor, Riley's simply gotten accustomed to being there? Silly Riley... :-)

Song often get's out of her bed and lays by my living room door. I wondered if she needed to cool down, but like Riley doesn't seem hot.

JoJo does exactly the same thing. I don't get it, either. For her, there's no vents, sunshine, or considerable coolness or warmth.

She is just a good real estate investor. Why own a 3x3 bed when you can own the WHOLE FLOOR!

I never get why they lie on the floor, either! What really gets me is when they lay with only their head or feet on a bed. What is up with that?

I figure as long as they put themselves there, they must be comfortable.

Marge loves hard floors, too. Tiles, though, moreso than wood.

It must be comfy for her. Pebbles used to lay on the concrete sidewalk outside the Red Bandana at our meet&greet. On the concrete, away from the overhang, in the summer. She was just a sun-loving fool. And this morning, Dino was laying in the grass in 55-59 degree weather at 6am. He was there for a good 5min or more before he decided to come in for breakfast. My point? Whatever floats Riley's boat.

There seems to be no rhyme or reason to the spots she picks. Sometimes it is near an AC vent. Sometimes it is not. Rarely any sun... Reagan is definitely the sun hoarder though if there is any.

I find this so funny as Zero has begun to lay on the hardwood floors as well. I find it happens when he's been outside and running around, but of course there are times in which he just lays on the hardwood for no good reason. Like yourself, I've agreed to just accept the face that he likes wood. :)
