I Hate Yellow

I have never been a fan of yellow, but now I hate it. Jaundice is not pretty. I can see it everywhere. He is drinking more water than ever. But in true Travis fashion, he still has his spark. Cute tail wags and he loves his Red Barn.

Sharon (saramurphy100) made this pretend magazine cover for me. Very thoughtful. Travis never made the cover of a magazine, but he should have :-). Travis actually has a Celebrating Greyhounds article coming out next time about his MACH2. I wrote the article blissfully unaware of the coming weeks.

Jennifer,
You shared Travis and all his glory with all of us. We all know what a remarkable dog he is. His Magazine is right here, as with your other beautiful dogs. He made the cover!!! How many people read your Blog? and attend all the events? Other hounds found homes because you and Travis showed them they could be trained, and a member of the family. That alone is glorious!!!!
Most important he is your Forever Friend. A most wonderful dog.

Jen,
I hate yellow with you.
I love his magazine cover. Travis's companionship and his spirit are great rewards for all your work with him. But your best reward has to be the knowledge that he has loved every minute of it. You've challenged and entertained him constantly and he's adored it.

I totally understand not wanting to hang on to him just for you. It is a very unselfish and caring attitude to have, when i'm sure it's the opposite of what you want to do. kiss his nose for me.

Thank you for the kind words. I sometimes feel like I'm airing all my dirty laundry on the blog for all to see, but I really enjoy keeping track of the memories with pictures and notes. I can't believe how many readers there are. I added the Cluster Map about a month ago and people all over the world seem to be checking in on my hounds. Its amazing how easy to connect it is today. Travis is so special and I'm glad the blog gave me the opportunity to share him with others. "A most wonderful dog" indeed. Hopefully Reagan will prove to be just as entertaining. Thanks for the support.

Kathy, I hope Sam is doing better.

For a minute there, I thought that was a real cover. Travis deserves to be on the cover. Looking forward to the next CG issue to read about the most wonderful and handsome greyhound (sh...Dino didn't hear that;) ).
I'll hate yellow for you too even though I do like the color. Just not part of anybody's skin/eyes.
Lots of love to Travis!

Never been a big fan of yellow myself. I love the cover!! It's something special. Thanks for sharing your special hound with all of us. He really is something special, but you allow him to shine - as you do all your pups.

Jen,
I have been reading your blog for some time now but every day since I learned about Travis. My heart is hurting for you and Travis. I cry most every time I read the updates. He is such a very special boy and I am so glad that I got to see him in action in your class. Both he and Katie are awesome to watch. I could watch them for hours. They have such an amazing trainer for a Mom. I believe that Reagan came to you at the right time. She can't replace Travis but she will help to get you thru this difficult time as you continue to work with her. The pictures of Travis and all of your pups are beautiful, even professional quality! Thanks for sharing your past and present adventures with us. Give Travis a great big hug from me and a kiss from Lexi.

Jen,

Is Travis itchy? Like when humans get the bilirubin back-up, itching is one of the symptoms......
Hugs to you and yours. Keep airing your laundry....it helps us know what's going on...we are here for you.

Jen,
Thanks for keeping us all updated on Travis. It's not dirty laundry; it's sharing the journey with others who care deeply and can empathize. Those of us who share our lives with animals walk this path all too frequently, but your blog and the comments show that we aren't walking alone.

Maria, Travis is not itchy. He really does not seem to be uncomforable with any of his symptoms at this time. The biggest issue right now is that he needs lots of water and needs to pee frequently. We have to be a little creative with work schedules.

Everyone, thank you for your notes and supportive comments.
