13 Weeks - The Walk

Before Maddie came, I often would walk with my mom and her three dogs a couple of times a week.  Last week, I finally felt that Maddie was big and energetic enough to handle a good walk.
This walk actually happened after she was in daycare all day.... I am not sure I got my money's worth that time. Ha!

OMG, i have a big smile watching those puppy antics! yes, they continue for quite some time- even w/ basic obedience training! that's exactly what felix used to do, and i ALWAYS played a good came of fetch w/ him prior to walks- no naps inbetween fetch and the walk in the woods on horse trails. he used to bite the puffs off of dandlions and always(still) had a stick(now limb) in his mouth. he would come home pooped after 3 or 4 miles, nap and be ready for the next round totally refreshed. ENJOY!

I must admit, I wasn't sure how interesting a 2 min. "dog walking" video would be. I don't know when I have laughed harder!!! First, congratulations to you for being able to hold the camera and capture that. Second, more, more!

That was hilarious! She is so cute. Seven and Riley are so patient with her. I think your mom is right, she's a Mad Hatter. :-) I remember Zephyr and Astro behaving similarly when they were pups, and the other night. ;-)

Cute!
Did I see that you let on of your greys off leash? I couldn't remember if you were one of those people who allow it...
I take Licorice off leash hiking but not many people with greys think that is acceptable.

So cute. What a bundle of energy. The others were very good about ignoring her puppy antics.

Marcia, these are my thoughts on off leash dogs.

I am not breed specific. My big thing is that an off leash dog needs to be well trained and if the owner cannot recall it when other people or dogs are approaching then it should not be off leash. I would never let my greyhounds run up to people, children, or other dogs. So only those that are trained that well get to earn that freedom.

She is so funny! I think she's part kangaroo. Luna does the same spinning when she is excited and wants to play.

Props for being able to film, walk, and hang on at the same time.
