WHY? Part 1

Why does Reagan lay her head on everyone? At first I thought I was capturing rare cuddley moments amongst greyhounds, but now I see that it happens all of the time. Poor Katie seems to be the favored perch.

How cute!
I hope Reagan won't become attached to Katie and be like Pebbles. Pebbles has separation issues with Dino.

None of our dogs snuggle with each other, but we often have fosters who want to. Most of our dogs are tolerant of it, they just don't seek it out. I've noticed that most of the snuggle-bugs come from largish litters. I think they find it comforting to return to the "puppy pile".

I wonder if she's doing it to whoever will tolerate it, and Katie is just more tolerant (as is Stephen). Sam does it here sometimes to me and to Jacey, and he used to do it to Oreo. Jacey never does it. (S & J are both out of litters of nine.)

If I put my hand over Sam's paw while he's sleeping, in a very few minutes his paw will land on top of my hand. Same thing if I put my hand on his head...

I think the "puppy pile" explanation makes sense. I think she just lays on whoever is convenient, but Katie is the most tolerant. Luckily, I don't think she is attached to any of the dogs that are 9 years her senior, thank goodness. That would not be good. I'm the one she follows around.

Blaze will lay his head on either one of his lab sisters (whoever is closest and most tolerant that day)--but he seems to especially like to lay curled up to Jim or me.

I like Pam's puppie pile reference :)

maybe reagan has been secretly told put her head on one of the older pups and lay still or else she'll get in trouble - like keep your hands where I can see them missy!
