Snowmageddon - Maddie

Atlanta, Georgia finally got some snow! In fact, the 2-3 inches brought the city to a screeching halt. People from snowy places laugh, but Atlanta just is not prepared to treat the roads when we only get snow maybe one or two days a year... if at all.

For whatever reason, no one really prepared for the approaching snow. Everyone had gone to work and school so when the snow started, everyone left at the same time and the roads became a disaster. Daily commutes turned into overnight trips for some people. Cars were abandoned because of the traffic or they simply could not move on the ice. I was lucky. My commute was 2 and half hours... very short compared to others and then we enjoyed being snowed in for two days.

I was disappointed that we did not get a single day of snow last year when Maddie was a puppy. I wanted puppy snow pictures! But at 19 months of age, Maddie did not disappoint and had a great time playing in the snow.

As I type this, we are waiting for another snowfall or possible ice storm. I am working at home tomorrow and as long as we have electricity it will be Fun Fun!
