Katie Update

The Clomicalm has had no effect on Katie's recent van phobia development. We have found that Katie rides in Stephen's car fine about half the time. She will sometimes ride to the destination just fine (picture below), but stresses on the way home. There seems to be no rhyme or reason about it.

At nearly 11 years of age, I am not going to rack my brain over it. If she doesn't want to travel, we will minimize her travel. Each day, I work with her in the backyard on rehab exercises and Stephen has been taking her hiking with his dogs a couple of times a week since the drive is only 10 minutes.

I really miss having her along with Reagan, Riley, and I. The van seems empty transporting just 2 tiny greyhounds.

Awww. I know how weird it must feel to not have her tag along, but at least you are sensible to know what she needs and wants.

Sorry about Katie, Jen. At least she is able to ride with Stephen and go with his hounds some.

I love the first pic, she looks so happy.
It's hard leaving the favorite at home. Maybe some day she'll figure out how to write down what is bothering her and tell you :)

Sorry to hear that Katie's vehicle phobia isn't getting better.
She still looks happy working with you in the yard and going on hikes with Stephen, right? That's what counts...still happy and willing to work.
Hugs to Katie! I'll have a few more toys for her when we come up in June.

Katie will always be the queen of the A team. This does not make her part of the B team.

Thanks everyone. Yes, she still likes working in the backyard. I've been doing the "doodle" work with her. Thank goodness she doesn't mind the same routine over and over.
