"With a Knick-Knack, Patty Whack"

"Give the bored dogs some bones"............
That's the one thing I hate about rainy days.... its greeting those young, fit greyhounds who have been resting in crates all day. I just want to come home, watch a little TV, and stay warm and dry. But Trouble 1 and Trouble 2 have different ideas.
So its beef ribs to the rescue! Just something to keep them busy for a few hours. $10 well spent.

What a great way to buy some time. I haven't given my guys any ribs yet, I bet they'd LOVE it!

Wow, sounds great to be in the Bachelor household. Can I come over? I like them 10 to 15 mins on one side, about 5 on the other. :-) Beef ribs are by far my favorite. My dad got me hooked on them.

Do you actually let them eat the bones? or you just let them chew to a certain point?

Chris, you might not like these... these ribs are raw :-).

My guys generally do not consume the entire beef rib. They strip off all of the meat, but leave most of the rib bone behind and I'll pick that up after a couple of hours. They don't seem to mindlessly gnaw at them like marrow bones. After some broken teeth, I do not give marrow bones anymore.

So, do you wash the blankets each time after they have eaten?? The hounds are having a yummy snack and all I'm thinking about is cleaning the blankets.

Sientay, I try to take all the blankets out of the crate except for 1. Usually that 1 will need to be washed so I usually try to make it one that already needs to be washed.

Sientay, I'm so with you. I'm looking at the possible dirty factor of the treat versus how close it is to cleaning day as I go through the possiblities of treats before I give the treats to the hounds. At least with the peanut butter in the kongs, I know every morsel will be licked clean...
