And I am proud to say we got there without me rushing her. I still see too many people rushing their dogs too soon and too young. Other than some wobble board and tiny teeter tipping, Maddie did not do any climbing or weave pole training until she was 14 months old. My goal is for Maddie to have a long, sound career. I am sure we will have our bumps in the road like all athletes, but I don't want it to be because she was doing stuff while too young.
We finally finished that last pesky Excellent Standard leg. On the same day, she also qualified in both classes, but it does not count as a Double Q because she is was still in the Excellent grouping. But now that is all done! She is now running in the Master classes with her sisters and can earn Double Qs now.
