On my way home, we stopped to help the couple with a greyhound and two small dogs I mentioned in a recent post. Riley got up close and personal with a small, white fluffy. Her initial interest in small dogs seems to be completely gone now.
I was there when our small dog tester initially tested Riley at the adoption kennel. She failed her. Riley was indeed very interested in the little terrier, but I knew in my heart that Riley was exclaiming "What the heck is that?" and was not looking to do any harm. But Riley can be very direct and assertive. It just was not an appropriate way to introduce herself to someone so much smaller. She is much more gentle and calm about now.
