Successful Debut

All I can say is "WOW!" Riley had a fantastic debut at her first agility trial last weekend at Wills Park. Four agility classes, four qualifying runs, and four blue ribbons. You cannot ask for more than that! I really had no idea what to expect from the little misfit, but she was very mature, responsive, and had a blast.

In our first run, Novice Jumpers (no climbing obstacles), she was flawless. At the beginning of the video, you will notice that she was a little slow to sit and kept turning her head.... she wasn't so sure about the electronic timer that said "go". However, it did not affect her run.

The second run on our video was Saturday's, Novice Standard (includes climbing obstacles). There were a few minor errors (allowed at the Novice level), but she correctly performed all of the obstacles.

The last run on the video is Sunday's Novice Jumpers. There was some tight work at the beginning, but after the weave poles it was just RUN - a very long line of jumps along the back of the ring to the front.

Our 4th run, Sunday's Novice Standard, was not filmed unfortunately, but I will tell you about it in my next post. Way to go, Riley! I needed that.
