I thought it would be interesting to reinforce Reagan for creating a noise. I took my shake cans that rattle and rewarded her for knocking them over. I started by clicking and giving one small treat for nose touches just to keep her interested and offering a jackpot for knocking the cans over.
Initially, Reagan worked well, but then appeared to startle herself and was not quick to repeat the behavior. I was amazed that she could turn, circle, get close, and move so much around the cans without actually touching them.
After several practice sessions, Reagan became more deliberate about rattling the cans and turning them over. It has been a good indoor exercise for rainy and snowy days.
